기안84의 개인전 《奇案島(기안도; 기묘한섬)》 아트샵 파트의 공간 및 그래픽 디자인을 진행했습니다. 아트샵 디자인은 ‘기안도; 기묘한 섬’이라는 전시 주제를 드러내고자 색감은 밝지만 생명력이 배제된 인위적인 소재를 중심으로 디자인하여, 또 다른 기묘한 섬으로 연결되는 경험을 주고자 했습니다.

섬의 등고선에서 발견되는 유기적으로 연결된 조형적인 형태성을 공간 디자인 전반의 그래머로, 작품에서 발견되는 흘러내리는 곡선과 클로버를 공간과 그래픽 디자인의 포인트 디테일로 적용였습니다. 기묘함의 시각화를 위해 외계식물 전문가 하이이화 작가의 조화와 플랜트 연출을 더해 현실적이지 않은 기묘한 섬의 무드를 완성하고자 했습니다. 

Oaah Agency participated in designing the Art Shop part of KIAN84’s solo exhibition, 《奇案島(KIANDO; 기묘한섬, trans. Uncanny Island)》. Translating the exhibition concept into the space and graphic design, we focused on delivering the uncanny experience by mix-matching vivid color scheme and lifelessness material. This awkwardness is intensified through the collaboration with Hai Ihwa, a Korean plant artist renown for her alien style of plant artworks.
